Monica Schley is a harpist, poet and performer. She has over 10 years of experience playing all styles of special events including weddings, luncheons, art openings, garden parties, holiday events, banquets, and many others! Her diverse past of performance venues includes Bumbershoot, Pink Door restaurant, The Triple Door and other night clubs, Youngstown Cultural Arts Center, Fairmont Olympic Hotel, Capitol Hill Arts Center, Primera Blue Cross, and countless weddings around the Puget Sound region.

Why harp? Harp music creates an atmosphere of sophisticated comfort that adds a special pleasure to any occasion! Monica plays solo and also with other instruments such as flute, violin, voice, bass and percussion.

Classically trained, she has worked on recordings or live performances with many reputable musicians including Bill Horist, The Dead Science, Degenerate Art Ensemble, Greg Sinibaldi, Masada, Kanye West, Lori Goldston, The New Seattle Orchestra, Amanda Palmer (Dresden Dolls) and extensively with the butoh art collective, P.A.N. She is also a member of the bands Threat of Beauty and Siendo. Her performance art weaves together a multi-media experience of music, poetry, dance and video.
