My name is Monica Dhamrait and I became interested in the wedding industry when I started planning my own wedding four years ago. I soon came to realize that no one in Edmonton knew how to organize an East Indian wedding! I didn’t know where to start and spent nearly 4 months just doing research! Well, after many tears of joy (and worry) my wedding went off without a hitch. Immediately I realized that East Indian couples someone (specifically a wedding coordinator) who knows how to pull off an East Indian wedding, where to get all the necessary items for each part of a traditional East Indian ceremony, what needs to happen in each of the pre-wedding ceremonies, and most importantly, can take the stress off the bride and groom
As President & Founder of Suhaag Weddings, I am certified as a Wedding Coordinator through the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada, the only one of its kind in Canada. Also, I graduated from the University of Alberta and hold a degree in Secondary Education. Currently, I teach Business and Accounting to Grades 10 to 12.
