Mother Of The Groom's Dress

My wedding is in May, my colors are Periwinkle and Sliver. The bridesmaid dresses are periwinkle as well as the flower girl. My mom is wearing a sliver (platinum) floor length dress with a shaw. Any suggestions on what color I should have the mother of the groom where? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Listen "common Sense"--you need to mind your own business. For your infomation she has asked for my opinion. I bet you wedding is very lame and won't last with you attitude. Get a life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello,
Why not let her periwinkle? since there are 2 colors and your mum's wearing one, she could wear the other.
Just a thot...

Re: Mother Of The Groom's Dress
If you're mom is wearing silver and EVERYONE else is wearing Peri I think it's unfair to put her in Periwinkle, too. To me it will say his mom is not as important as yours! In defense to your mother in law it is her baby's big day too. In your defense, common sense is so pathetic and stupid! Of course YOU get to pick who wears what it's YOUR day! What bridesmaid gets to where whatever they want in any color to a wedding? I can tell who won't get married... The lonely and depressed, common sense. When will the damn thing kick in to live up to the name?!

I'd go with lavender, something in the periwinkle family but lighter.

Re: Mother Of The Groom's Dress
This discussion is probably over, but I just happened upon it this evening. I think what might be appropriate is to let the mother of the groom know what your wedding colors are, and what color/style the mother of the bride will be wearing. Then the groom's mom can pick out whatever she wants. This is the method I am familiar with and it seems to work out well.
